JOB PURPOSE / OBJECTIVEExecute electrical maintenance activities and assigned projects on time and within budget in order to increase equipment availability and reliability. Ensure smooth and reliable operation of electrical equipment through the implementation of preventive maintenance programs and coordination of efforts with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that relevant maintenance works are completed effectively and timely.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESRoutine DutiesCarry out maintenance activities in an efficient and effective manner, in line with the annual business plans, and departmental policies and procedures.Complete all assignment of tasks, performance appraisal, trainings, and maintain proper tools and equipment to ensure unit equipment performs reliably.Complete maintenance certification process of Electrical Technicians for Q-Chem & Q-Chem II.Carry out troubleshooting of problems occurring in the units & implement corrective actions.Ensure the safety aspects of the organization like safety alerts, circulars, policy changes, and medical circulars are read and understood correctly and followed in daily jobs.Conduct JSAs for all critical and routine works and own the process.Follow up to maintain safe work practices and have good knowledge of Operational Excellence.Attend and participate in toolbox meetings, safety meetings, RCA sessions, etc.Shutdowns and TurnaroundsAssist in planning, organizing, and implementing shutdowns, turnarounds, and emergencies to ensure safe and timely execution of tasks.Plant MaintenanceEnsure that work processes are implemented as per standards and procedures.Maintain a high level of availability of the Electrical equipment within the area of responsibility.Identify spare parts requirements for each Equipment. Identify required special tools to carry out activities.Review spare parts in the warehouse to identify missing spares. Communicate with the supervisor to obtain required spares and tools.Carry out Preventive Maintenance activities on time as scheduled.Carry out Corrective/breakdown maintenance whenever necessary.Conduct daily routine inspections including Preventive Maintenance for electrical equipment and maintain appropriate records.Communicate and present to the supervisor analysis of problems faced in the field. Communicate with other trade technicians to verify electrical problems and solutions.Implement predictive maintenance program and assist in equipment inspection, testing, and troubleshooting to avoid major escalations and ensure minimum disruptions caused by equipment breakdowns.Assist in managing Electrical maintenance works on Q-Chem’s assets as required, ensuring minimum disruptions regarding equipment breakdowns.Assist in all Electrical inspections and equipment tests as per the Maintenance Strategy.Assist in the preparation of Standard Maintenance Procedures for Electrical equipment.Assist in failure analysis of repeated problems in the area of responsibilities.Provide mentoring and work direction/instructions to base load technicians.Work hands-on during regular workdays, irregular shifts, shutdowns, and on-call schedules.Complete applicable performance appraisal process periodically.Assume the role of DSRs for various contractors for their assigned works/routine works when assigned as DOA.Properly follow SMPs and checklists in the field during maintenance activities.Assist in the creation of SMP and checklists for different equipment and PM plans and SMPs for new equipment/projects added to the plant/plants.Quality, Health, Security, Safety and EnvironmentEnsure compliance with regulatory requirements and relevant quality, health, safety, security, and environmental procedures and controls across the Section to guarantee employee safety and delivery of high-quality products/services.Policies, Systems, Processes & ProceduresContribute to the identification of opportunities for the continuous improvement of the Maintenance Department’s systems, policies, processes, and practices, taking into account ‘international leading practices’ to improve productivity and operational efficiency.ReportingPrepare relevant reports in a timely and accurate manner to meet departmental requirements, policies, and standards.QatarizationContribute to the development of Qatari employees. This accountability is applicable to expatriate employees only.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEEITHEREducation: High School/Secondary - 12th grade or 10th grade plus Vocational.Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant Oil & Gas experience in Maintenance.OREducation: 2 years of diploma in Electrical Engineering or any related discipline.Experience: Minimum 4 years of relevant Oil & Gas experience in Maintenance.OREducation: 3 years of diploma in Electrical Engineering or any related discipline.Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant Oil & Gas experience in Maintenance.Preferred to be familiar with skills of the systems mentioned below:LV/MV Switchgears.Power Generators / Emergency Diesel Generators.LV/MV Transformers.LV/MV Motors.VFD/Soft start systems.DC/AC UPS Systems.Cathodic Protection, Grounding systems.LanguagesRequired: English - proficient.Preferred: Arabic - working knowledge.#J-18808-Ljbffr
