Reporting StructureJob Summary and PurposeThe Chief Engineer Officer is the ship's technical manager and head of the maintenance team.Accountabilities(Together with the Chief Officer) Ensure the safe working practices of all personnel.Ensure the efficient operation of all machinery and equipment installed on board for the purposes of propulsion and the provision of hotel services.Ensure the safe, efficient operation and maintenance of all machinery and equipment installed on board for the purposes of cargo handling and storage.Implement correct procedures, monitoring, and use of equipment to ensure that the cargo is carried as defined by the Charterer's instructions.Conduct routine checking, testing, maintenance, and repair of machinery and fittings throughout the ship including the activities of the ETO/EEO/Electrician.Maintain safety equipment, spare gear, central stores inventories, and associated documentation.Update and control the Engine Information Book and associated records.Manage bunker custody and related anti-pollution measures.Oversee the use of fresh, domestic, and distilled water.Train Engineer and Marine Cadets and monitor their progress.Delegate additional duties to the JDs of other engineer officers onboard as necessary.Carry out any lawful command and delegated duty as issued by the Master.Adhere to reporting and operating obligations as per FMM 1.3.9 "as amended."CompetenciesBudget ControlBunkering operationsCharterers instructions, terminal and state requirements, port documentationCleaning and inspection of WHU and uptake firesCommunications with other nationalitiesAnd more...EducationClass 1Key Result AreasInteractions and Working RelationsFinancial AuthoritiesQualifications, Experience, and Job Skills#J-18808-Ljbffr
