Join NES Qatar as a Radiation Protection Specialist for a Leading Oil and Gas Client. As a Radiation Protection Specialist, you will develop, facilitate and enforce implementation of the Radiation Management Programme across the LNG sites. You will be working alongside the Head of Industrial Hygiene Job Responsibilities 1. Act as the Lead Custodian for the Radiation Protection program across the client. Ensure the program is implemented efficiently across the company facilities for maintaining radiation safety. Lead the development of the Radiation safety related documents and procedures as required. 2. Act as a focal point for managing the technical and regulatory direction of the radiation safety program, principal technical resource to the Leadership management team, department heads and line managers. 3. Provide technical support to the field Radiation protection officers, provide advice on appropriate disposal of radioactive waste , help the Asset teams for technical support on radiation training for their people in line with the training center procedures. 4. Provide specialist input tot he concern departments in the client's handling radiation activities , to ensure that the third-party radiation contractor management are fully aware of their responsibilities at the initial stages of the contract. 5. Provides specialist inputs in risk-based work selection regarding Radiation Safety activities in planning stages to ensure all legal compliances to the Radiation Ministry Standards and associated company procedures are taken into considerations. Minimum RequirementsBachelors' degree in engineering or science disciplineMust be eligible to obtain a Radiation Protection Officer license (Embassy and University attested qualifications is a must along with the experience documents in the radiation field)10 years related experience including 5 years experience as Supervisory level within the oil and gas or petrochemical industry.Has extensive knowledge in managing a Radiation Protection Program in an oil and gas facility or heavy industrial manufacturing setting.
