Our Qatar based oil and gas client is looking to hire multiple Senior Safety Officers to work alongside the SHEQ Division Manager.Key Job AccountabilitiesPlan & coordinate activities of safety personnel in the area of responsibility.Support continuous enhancement of safety culture by leading by example, coaching and advising personnel on safe behaviours and practices.Implement approved inspections regime for safety equipment in the area of responsibility to ensure safe use of all equipment.Act as Facilitator for Safety Incident Management supporting department objectives.Facilitate Asset Safety tours and SHE committee meetings for the department.Participate in investigation of assigned safety incidents and report to management.Ensure asset specific trend analysis are conducted and regularly discussed with management and personnel for the department.Conduct safety assessments ensuring compliance with safety procedures and programs.Participate and contribute to Hazard/Risk assessments including Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Formal Risk Assessment (FRA) and Risk Register reviews.Participate in Emergency drill and Exercises and support real emergencies as DSR (Duty Safety Representative) supporting department objective.Develop, recommend and conduct training programs in safety principles and practises.Ensure the effectiveness and on demand use of safety equipment and facilities are kept in the best working condition by coordinating and monitoring preventive maintenance programs in order to ensure optimum operational status and readiness to use.Act as a source of guidance in investigating incidents and participate in the preparation, review and assessment of statistics.Inspect new projects construction/installation work to ensure contractor personnel are aware of and comply with the client safety practises and regulations.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science.8 years’ experience in safety operations within oil and gas industry.Technical and Business SkillsExcellent written and oral English skills.Strong analytical skills and computer literacy.If your profile matches the above criteria with an interest to work in Qatar, please send your profile to Benita.Surrao@nesgt.com and a call will be arranged to discuss.#J-18808-Ljbffr
