About the role: Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Crew Resources team as a Lead Crew Optimization Analyst to be based in Doha, Qatar. As a Lead Crew Optimization Analyst, you will be responsible for implementing technology solutions in a cost-effective way by determining the requirements of the business and communicating them clearly to all stakeholders. You will also be responsible for executing changes to the IT components of the Crew Systems as laid out by the Crew Recourse Development. Specific responsibilities for the role include:Develop optimization models using programming languages such as RAVE and Python to address decision making outside the Jeppesen product.Act as the first point of contact for the business as far as the usage of the system is concerned and ensures all analysis is conducted and decision for any system upgrades and changes is taken up.Coordinate with all stakeholders in order to document the business requirements for further designing an analysis program for facilitating their requirements.Review and evaluate the proposed requirement by the stakeholders and make suggestions for the business in line with the Architecture plan of the department.Lead the analysis of the data gathered within the crew resources department and make specifications for the Rave Modelers for enhanced productivity of the department.Undertake the analysis of future system changes in order to ensure the department is aware and prepared for the operational impact.Ensure all specifications translated into a working program and implemented.Ensure all documentation for development and customization of the system is created for future reference.QualificationsAbout you The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:Relevant College or University qualification to a minimum Bachelor’s level in Business administration, Mathematics’, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Econometrics or Operations Research.Minimum of 5 years of job-related experience, 3 years working in a software development team.Experience of using business intelligence and reporting tools.Programming background using python.Advanced level of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access) skills.Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders.Highly developed planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent English communication (written and spoken) and facilitation / presentation skills.
