Technician - Environment (Compliance Monitoring):Participate in the implementation of the Compliance Monitoring Program for Oil and Gas Operations.Assist Environment Analyst in performing Compliance Monitoring Program for Oil and Gas Operations.Reports to: ENVIRONMENT ANALYST (COMPLIANCE MONITORING)Technician – Environment (LAB):Participate in the implementation of environmental chemistry program for Oil and Gas Operations and assist the Environmental Analyst (Chemistry) on all matters relating to environmental chemistry.Provide a monitoring function in the assigned area and ensure safe working practices are being applied and maintained as per HSE policies, procedures and regulations concerning environmental chemistry.Reports to: ENVIRONMENT ANALYST (CHEMISTRY)Your TasksTechnician – Environment (CM):Perform ground water sampling and in-situ analysis.Perform manual stack emission monitoring.Perform environmental noise level monitoring (daytime and nighttime).Conduct project's environmental inspections.Conduct environmental incident/accident inspections.Conduct waste management inspections and supervise loading and unloading of waste to HSE yards.Conduct joint HSE inspections.Compile emission data from various sources of all concerned Oil and Gas Operations Departments and prepare Monthly Flaring Report.Draft Quarterly Environmental Monitoring Report (QEMR) and draft Consent to Operate (CTO) renewal applications based on inputs received from all concerned departments.Perform other environmental compliance and monitoring related duties and prepare reports as needed.Technician – Environment (LAB):Assist in development, maintenance and communication of environmental policies, procedures and work instructions in alignment with Corporate HSE objectives, relevant international standards and National Laws & Regulations.Perform manual stack emission monitoring.Perform environmental noise level monitoring (daytime and nighttime).Conduct waste management inspections and supervise loading and unloading of wastes to HSE yards and/or collection of hazardous waste.Conduct environmental inspections and draft respective reports.Assist in promotion of environmental awareness by preparing brochures, pamphlets, posters and presentations.Assist in performing technical evaluations for analytical equipment and on-site monitoring equipment purchase orders.Operate analytical equipment & on-site analyzers and maintain inventory of necessary instruments and equipment.Assist in routine integrity check and arrange required maintenance for analyzers to ensure all the analyzers are working properly.Assist in maintenance of Environment Laboratory and implementing good laboratory practice.Perform ground water sampling and in-situ analysis.Your ProfileTechnician – Environment (CM):Completion of higher secondary school (grade 12) plus Diploma in Environmental Science /Engineering or related field.Knowledge of hazards and safety precautions related to using chemicals and to performing tests on potential hazardous substances.Ability to use basic software such as MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.Good in writing routine reports and presentation skills.At least 5 years of field Environmental monitoring, sampling, and inspection experience, preferably with a minimum of 4 years in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.Ability to operate monitoring & sampling equipment & instruments.Ability to perform field monitoring, sampling, and inspections.Ability to climb stack (working at heights) and take readings.Qatar Driving License - Light Vehicles Driving License Mandatory.Technician – Environment (LAB):Diploma in Environmental Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or related field.Knowledge of hazards and safety precautions related to using chemicals and to performing tests on potential hazardous substances.Ability to understand chemical Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs).Knowledge of laboratory equipment, instruments, and their safe and effective use.Ability to write routine reports and use basic software such as MS Word, Excel, and Access.Ability to communicate well orally and in writing.Ability to perform field inspections/samplings.Minimum 5 years of laboratory experience with at least 2 years in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.Qatar Driving License - Light Vehicles Driving License Mandatory.Our OfferSalary: Monthly Rate in QAR Plus AllowanceWork Schedule: 8 Hours / 5 DaysDuration: 5 years with possible extensionLocation: Qatar#J-18808-Ljbffr
