As a BSL2 Histopathology Lab/Mortuary Planner, you will be responsible for designing, organizing, and overseeing the construction and operation of Biosafety Level 2 (BSL2) histopathology laboratories and mortuary facilities. Your role involves collaborating with architects, engineers, laboratory personnel, and regulatory agencies to ensure that the facilities meet safety standards, operational requirements, and regulatory compliance for handling hazardous materials and infectious specimens.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with architects, engineers, and laboratory stakeholders to design and layout BSL2 histopathology laboratories and mortuary facilities. Ensure that the design meets space requirements, workflow considerations, and safety regulations for handling infectious materials.Evaluate and select appropriate laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and furniture for histopathology laboratories and mortuaries. Coordinate with vendors, procurement specialists, and laboratory staff to acquire and install equipment according to specifications and budget constraints.Ensure compliance with biosafety regulations, including BSL2 guidelines, CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) recommendations, and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards. Implement safety features, such as biological safety cabinets, fume hoods, personal protective equipment (PPE), and decontamination procedures, to minimize the risk of exposure to hazardous materials.Obtain necessary permits, licenses, and regulatory approvals for constructing and operating BSL2 histopathology laboratories and mortuary facilities. Liaise with regulatory agencies, such as local health departments, to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines.Develop project budgets, cost estimates, and financial projections for constructing and equipping BSL2 histopathology laboratories and mortuaries. Monitor expenses, track expenditures, and manage procurement processes to stay within budgetary constraints and timelines.Develop project timelines, milestones, and schedules for the construction, renovation, and commissioning of BSL2 histopathology laboratories and mortuary facilities. Coordinate activities, resolve issues, and ensure that project milestones are met in a timely manner.Communicate project updates, milestones, and requirements to stakeholders, including laboratory personnel, facility managers, regulatory agencies, and senior management. Facilitate meetings, workshops, and training sessions to promote collaboration and ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.Implement quality assurance measures to ensure that BSL2 histopathology laboratories and mortuary facilities meet design specifications, operational requirements, and safety standards. Conduct commissioning tests, validation studies, and functional checks to verify facility performance and readiness for operation.Qualifications:Holding UPDA Grade A.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Biosafety, or related field. Professional certification or licensure in architecture, engineering, or biosafety is preferred.At least 10 + years of experience in facility planning, design, construction, or project management, with a focus on laboratory facilities, healthcare facilities, or biosafety containment laboratories.At least 2 projects in the designated position.At least 5 projects in the Middle eastproven knowledge and outstanding experience regarding:· Hospital Mortuaries in the Middle East· Expert in BL2 Histopathology Lab/BSL 3 Post-mortem logistics.Skills:Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and stakeholder management.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information effectively to diverse audiences.Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, project management tools, and Microsoft Office applications.Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.Job Type: Full-timeApplication Question(s):Can you join immediately?What is your current salary?What is your expected salary?Do you have experience working in the Gulf area/middle east ?Education:Bachelor's (Preferred)Experience:relevant: 10 years (Preferred)License/Certification:QID (Required)UPDA ,what is your grade (Preferred)#J-18808-Ljbffr
