Company DescriptionDiscover the warm French-Polynesian welcome of our luxury 5 star beach resort situated on the East Crescent of the world famous Palm Jumeirah, offering a rejuvenating escape inspired by the rich culture of the South Pacific.Nestled amongst lush greenery on the idyllic shores of the Arabian Gulf, Sofitel Dubai The Palm offers a tropical and relaxing sanctuary, only a short distance away from the vibrant, buzzing metropolis of Dubai.With magnifique touches of French elegance interlaced throughout the hotel, we invite you to ‘Live the French way’ and indulge in excellence.Job DescriptionHandling the day-to-day safety & operation of the Gym and tennis court areas including changing rooms (steam, sauna & lockers).Ensure that all Fitness daily tasks and procedures are in place.Be visible and accessible to guests.Maintain strong relationships and goodwill with guests and members.Check and maintain the equipment clean, tidy and in good condition.Report any damaged or missing items in the area to the manager for action and follow up.Handle the duty roster and training for the team.Responsible for inventory, storage and maintenance.Knowledge of gym equipment is an advantage.Handle hotel equipment maintenance and keep track of supplies.Ensure that guest amenities in the Fitness, pool and beach areas are complete and up to standards.Possess administration skills for daily reports, email inquiries, complaints, finance and other department concerns.Good communication and customer service experience to attend to guests' requests courteously and promptly during duty.Generate more gym memberships and remain actively engaged with existing members (e.g., handling membership, selling & organizing).Work as a team to build good rapport and create opportunities to coach and improve performance.Experience dealing with partners and third-party vendors.Computer literate in Microsoft applications, Outlook, and cashiering.Strong leadership skills.Supervisory skills for the team and reporting to managers.Train team members and coordinate monthly on-the-job training for the whole department.Qualifications1-2 years previous customer service experience.Written communication and verbal skills.Multi-tasking skills.A positive and upbeat attitude.Teamwork mentality.#J-18808-Ljbffr
