The Vice President Investment is responsible for the management of investment funds and client investment portfolios created by the Asset Management department.He/she is responsible for the achievement of budgeted performance objectives for the Funds/Portfolios under his/her management in compliance with established policies, procedures, standards, and regulatory requirements.Role SummaryThe Vice President Investment is responsible for the efficient and timely execution of transactions and for addressing questions or inquiries in connection with the funds/portfolios under his/her management.Role DescriptionContributes to the business development planning process in connection with the Investment fund management function.Contributes to the implementation of the business plan, with the aim of achieving set volume, revenue, and profit objectives.Focuses on the achievement of the associated Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to be monitored periodically.Recommends appropriate pricing structures/policies re: Investment fund management.Identifies new business opportunities in conjunction with the respective unit heads and thereby contributes to business growth.Implements KPI's and best practices for 'Vice President Investment'.Promote cost consciousness and efficiency and enhance productivity, to minimize cost, avoid waste, and optimize benefits for the bank.Act within the limits of the powers delegated to the incumbent.Contributes to the provision of value-added services to existing/potential clients, with the aim of meeting/exceeding clients' performance expectations.Contributes to the timely and accurate supply of information to external and internal auditors, Group Compliance, and Group Risk - as and when required.Co-ordinates with the Operations Division re: the timely and accurate processing of all funds/portfolio-related documentation (e.g. Articles of Association, Information Memoranda, Investment Management Agreement, Investment Policy Statement, Risk Profile, Term Sheet, etc.).Works within the permitted parameters of AMM's mandate for the purchase and sale of financial securities.Differentiates QNB AM from its competitors by means of adherence to the highest professional standards.Prepares and verifies internal reporting as and when required.Provides market intelligence to those colleagues who may require it.Works closely with (and helps to motivate) colleagues with the aim of enhancing staff and portfolio performance.Actively contributes to discussions re: the introduction of new portfolios.Contributes to the preparation of Investment Management Agreements, Investment Policy Statements, term Sheets, etc. in accordance with the directions of the EVP Asset Management.Actively contributes to the launch of new investment-based funds and portfolios.Monitors closely the performance of the funds/portfolios under his/her management and takes remedial action if and when required.Ensures on-going compliance with the articles of association of each of the funds/portfolios under his/her management.Monitors the regulatory compliance of the funds and portfolios under his/her management.Manages, controls, monitors, and assumes responsibility for the funds and portfolios under his/her management.Acts within the limits of the powers delegated to him/her.Is responsible for implementing any action plan which may be required by Group Internal Audit, external auditors, regulators, or Group Compliance, in order to address any potential control weakness or compliance irregularity.Prepares fund and portfolio performance reports as and when required by the Head of Equities.Contributes to the maintenance and collation of fund/portfolio-related data for inclusion in MIS reports.Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory, and internal compliance requirements including, but not limited to, Group Compliance Policies and Procedures (AML & CTF, Sanctions Policy, Data Protection Policy, Fraud Control Policy, Whistle Blowing Policy, Conflict of Interest, and Insider Dealing Policy).Understand and effectively perform your role under the Three Lines of Defense principle to identify measure, monitor, manage, and report risks.Support the framework of RCSA, KRI, Incident reporting and remediation, as appropriate, in accordance with the Operational Risk Management requirements.Ensure high standards of data protection and confidentiality to safeguard commercially sensitive information.Maintaining utmost confidentiality concerning customer and internal bank information obtained during the course of business and provide such information on a need-to-know basis only to Senior Management of QNB, Audit and Compliance functions, and relevant Regulators.All other ad hoc duties/activities related to QNB that management might request from time to time.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Mathematics, or Economics.CFA or equivalent professional cert.#J-18808-Ljbffr
