Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes. May install or service street light, intercom systems, or electrical control systems.• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the case of a breakdown and correct the problem.• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components.• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the needs for the adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and ensure compatibility and safety of system.• Plan layout and instillation of electrical wiring, equipment fixtures, based on the job specifications and local codes.• Perform basic mechanical tasks when able and competent.#J-18808-Ljbffr
