We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Architect to play a key role in the design and development of veterinary and agricultural laboratory facilities. You will collaborate with a team of engineers, scientists, and project managers to deliver functional, safe, and sustainable laboratory environments.Responsibilities:Lead the architectural design process for veterinary and agricultural laboratory projects, from initial concept development through construction documents.Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes and regulations, including those specific to veterinary and agricultural laboratories (e.g., USDA APHIS regulations, BSL containment requirements).Develop and maintain detailed construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and schedules.Work collaboratively with engineers, scientists, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop optimal design solutions.Manage project budgets and timelines to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in laboratory design, sustainable building practices, and materials suitable for laboratory environments.Conduct site visits and participate in client meetings to ensure project goals are met.Oversee the work of junior architects and provide mentorship.Qualifications:Master's degree in Architecture (M.Arch) or a Bachelor's degree in Architecture (B.Arch) from an accredited program.Registration as a licensed architect in the relevant jurisdiction.Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in architectural design, with a focus on laboratory design being highly preferable.Experience working on projects similar to veterinary and agricultural laboratories, such as research facilities, animal biosafety level (ABSL) containment laboratories, or food processing facilities (a strong asset).Proficient in Building Information Modeling (BIM) software like Revit or ArchiCAD.Strong understanding of construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and codes.Knowledge of sustainable design principles and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification processes (advantageous).Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively with clients, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Time management and organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Understanding of laboratory workflow and safety protocols, including biosafety levels (BSL), containment requirements, and zoning principles for clean and dirty areas.Familiarity with relevant building codes and regulations for veterinary and agricultural laboratories.Job Type: Full-timePay: QAR12,000.00 - QAR14,000.00 per monthApplication Question(s):Can you join immediately?What is your current salary?What is your expected salary?Education:Bachelor's (Preferred)Experience:total: 10 years (Required)License/Certification:QID (Required)Application Deadline: 06/06/2024#J-18808-Ljbffr
