About the roleAs a Senior Manager – Legal you will be accountable and responsible to lead and manage a small team of legal specialists, to review and negotiate major contracts related to Commercial, Corporate and other functions across the QR group and provide legal advice on a variety of matters to stakeholders and senior management.Accountabilities:Develop and implement procedures for contract management and administration in compliance with company policy. As appropriate, contribute to or influence company contractual policies.Negotiating, drafting and implementing a wide variety of complex, multiparty agreements, including mergers and acquisitions and strategic alliances.Coordinating the development and management of strategic contracts in accordance with corporate requirements, supporting legal requirements and procedures to secure and protect the business interests of the company in matters related to contracts.Facilitate the development and maintenance of strategic procedures for contracts and procurement.Review, draft, interpret and negotiate major contracts related to Commercial, Corporate and other functions in particular joint ventures and cross-border business partnering to monitor the risk and minimize exposure.Identify and evaluate the risks arising from contractual positions and advise the business accordingly.Seek out, propose and implement approved business process improvements to facilitate achieving high performance standards.Assist and support other Qatar Airways Departments with contract interpretation and implementation.Provide proactive legal assistance and advice on various issues. Apply commercial acumen to project airline’s interests and reputation.Establish the department or teams objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives.Regularly evaluate the teams objectives, plans, procedures and practices and make appropriate changes if needed.Oversee and supervise employees. Direct daily activities, recruit, train, develop and discipline to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
