ACCOUNTANT with strong Inventory Experience in Hospital setting)Job Description: We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Accountant with expertise in inventory management to join our dynamic finance team. As an Accountant specializing in Inventory, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate tracking, valuation, and reporting of hospital inventory.Key Responsibilities:Manage and maintain accurate records of inventory levels, ensuring sufficient stock levels for operational needs while minimizing excess inventory.Conduct regular inventory audits to reconcile physical stock with financial records and investigate discrepancies.Monitor inventory transactions, including purchases, returns, and adjustments, ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.Develop and implement inventory management policies and procedures to optimize inventory turnover and minimize carrying costs.Coordinate with department heads and procurement teams to forecast demand and ensure timely replenishment of stock.Oversee the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals, and depreciation calculations in accordance with relevant accounting standards.Conduct periodic physical verification of fixed assets and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and financial records.Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits related to inventory and fixed assets, providing necessary documentation and explanations.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on inventory levels, usage, and variances for management review.Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities related to inventory and fixed assets.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or ACCA certification preferred.Proven experience as an Accountant with a focus on inventory management and fixed assets, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting.Solid understanding of inventory costing methods, inventory control procedures, and fixed asset accounting principles.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make sound recommendations.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work output and a commitment to meeting deadlines.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentExperience:Accounting: 5 years (Preferred)#J-18808-Ljbffr
