EMFI Qatar Group is looking for an Transmission Line Engineer (Cable/OHL) with the following qualifications:Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputed universityAt least 7 years of relevant experience in maintenance, switching, and commissioning activities of Transmission Lines up to 400kVGood knowledge of international standards and KAHRAMAA standards and practicesExperience with Cable / OHL installation proceduresExperience in O&M and execution of Transmission Lines (OHL & Cables) Projects and Commissioning activitiesGood interpersonal skills and maturity of judgmentFluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantageComputer literate with presentation skillsRequires mobile communication during normal and outside office hours for emergency contactMust pass authorization interview and qualify as Senior Authorized personMajor Duties & Responsibilities:Inspect Substation, Protection Systems, and Transmission lines (Overhead lines and Cables) prior to commissioning and identify defects and noncompliance with KAHRAMAA specificationsConfirm all major defects are rectified before commissioningWitness all major pre-commissioning activitiesPrepare commissioning programsCarry out switching activity and commission the substation safelyIssue necessary safety documentsVerify and approve drawing submittals, site test reports, method statements, schematics, and spare partsConfirm NOSP submitted meets all KAHRAMAA requirementsUpload Substation data in the appropriate networkCarry out inspections related to Defect clearance, Taking over certificate, Final completion certificateCoordinate with contractors, consultants, and KAHRAMAA departments for all commissioning activitiesOperate and maintain Substation equipment, Protection system, and Transmission Overhead lines and CablesCarry out maintenance and troubleshooting activitiesApply relay setting/configuration to the protective relays including numerical relays and testingDownload disturbance records from the relays, review & analyze faults/tripping, and advise the system control for the fast & safe restoration of the tripped circuitsMake decisions at the site for modifications, changing of relay settings, etc. on emergency conditions in consultation with Senior EngineerConduct fault analysis and relay settings calculationsEvaluate all materials used for 400kV/ 220kV/ 132kV/ 66kV/ 33kV Cable / OHL, to ensure compliance with international standards and internal quality standardsEnsure Substation and Transmission Line construction and commissioning tests are carried out as per KAHRAMAA specificationsReview and comment on draft As-built drawings, Operation and Maintenance Manuals submitted by Contractors/ ManufacturersAttend standby callsPerform other related duties as needed upon request/instruction by the immediate supervisorTravel extensively within the state of QatarWork in compliance with KAHRAMAA safety rulesHave a valid Qatar driving licenseInterested candidates may send their CV to: hiringemfi2022@gmail.comJob Types: Full-time, Permanent, ContractPay: QAR1.00 per monthAbility to commute/relocate:Doha: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Education:Bachelor's (Required)Experience:Maintenance and commissioning of Transmission Lines 400kV: 4 years (Required)O&M of Transmission Lines: 3 years (Required)Relevant experience in Transmission Lines: 7 years (Required)#J-18808-Ljbffr
