```htmlJob DescriptionWhat are you going to do:The HVAC engineer will intervene if site conditions may cause safety issues or concerns, work with their contractors site management to review schedules and, if required, suggest adjusting timelines or erection sequences based on the project's progress. They will regularly communicate project goals to the onsite Company and Contractor personnel.The HVAC engineer will regularly review project progress to assess how closely it's proceeding to the projected timeline. If the project is behind schedule, they may implement strategies to hasten work and simplify approaches or adjust deadlines without compromising on quality or safety.Additionally, the HVAC engineer will liaise with quantity surveyors and facilitate their investigations by keeping track of progress based on the contractors' schedule. They will communicate ongoing site work with all Company designated personnel, including the Site Manager, PMs, engineering, QAQC, and HSE.The HVAC engineer will:Control access to the site.Communicate project progress.Leverage resources.Consult other specialists when their expertise is necessary.Furthermore, the HVAC engineer will be responsible for reviewing all contractors' designs, commenting, and discussing with all engineering parties involved. They shall have a working knowledge of HVAC calculations to determine the size and capacity of cooling, ventilation, and air conditioning systems as well as applicable Qatar industry codes.The HVAC engineer will collaborate with all site Area Project Engineers and, if required, the Company's construction personnel by area to ensure all materials, tools, and equipment are available to ensure the contractors meet their goals. They will work with all management to make decisions based on contractors' progress.Before compliance officers and inspectors visit a site, the HVAC engineer will conduct regular safety inspections to check that the site adheres to regulations, ensuring contractor safety. This may involve implementing regular audits and inventories of supplies, tools, and personnel prior to any site visit.The HVAC engineer will contribute to all risk assessments for their buildings and packages, which are important for the safety of contractors and the final build. They are also responsible for ensuring all paperwork associated with their buildings' ongoing design, construction, and installation at the sites is being prepared, such as daily and weekly construction reports for both the Company and Contractors.Essential Skills and KnowledgeMinimum experience of 12 years directly related to HVAC design and installation in industrial Middle East conditions (sub-stations, analyzer buildings, main office buildings, and maintenance shops in a greenfield or brownfield situation of all types and sizes).EducationBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.QualificationsASHRAE Certified or equivalent.
