The I&C Engineer will be accountable to supervise a team of senior maintenance technicians and support staff to fulfil the day to day I&C maintenance activities at the power and desalination plant. In addition to supporting the management of the major outages of the plant through the provision of a gas turbine long-term service agreement, ensuring that the plant meets Safety, Environmental, availability, reliability, efficiency, and budgetary targets.Safety at Work:Ensures a safe working environment for himself, his colleagues, and contractors while working on any equipmentObtains a Permit to Work for each job as necessitated by the safety and associated ProceduresEnsures all Method Statements Work Instruction and Procedures are followed by himself and Contractors while undertaking any workEnsures that all appropriate tools are available to ensure work can be carried out safely on equipmentSupervises I&C Technicians and Contractors to ensure Safety Rules and HSE procedures are followedReports any unsafe conditions in accordance with procedureMaintenance Task Planning and Execution:Ensures maintenance tasks are completed by the Technicians as per Work Orders generated in CMMSEnsures work done notes on maintenance carried out are documented in CMMSProduce reports as necessary on any maintenance activity... At least 5 years of relevant experience. Previous employment will have provided experience at a similar level and status within the discipline of I&C maintenance. Preferably should have practical knowledge and exposure to Gas Turbine technology and multistage Desalination plant. Trained in emergency fire fighting. First Aid trained.
