About the role:As an Airfield Operations Officer, you will be responsible for helping us achieve the ambition of ensuring safe operations at the airside. Your key duties will include:Conducting regular inspection and monitoring of the runway, taxiway, aprons, and service roadsManaging Foreign Object Debris (FOD) properly through monitoring, supporting FOD campaigns, initiating removal when necessary, and promoting FOD preventionMonitoring and controlling bird and wildlife hazardsEnsuring visibility and correctness of paint markings and signsChecking serviceability of airfield lighting, facilities, and equipmentReporting faults/deficiencies and coordinating with the concerning department for rectificationObserving airside vehicle/equipment movements to ensure compliance with safety driving rulesDirecting traffic in congested and emergency areas to ensure safe maneuvering of taxiing aircraftInvestigating and submitting detailed reports on airside incidents/accidentsEscorting unfamiliar vehicles to prevent unsafe situationsQualifications:To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalentAttended Airport/Airlines safety and security training coursesAttended Airport/Airline operations courses (e.g., passenger, ramp, and cargo)Hold a valid Qatar Driving License/own country licenseMinimum 4 years of job-related experienceAt least 4 years of supervisory experience in the aviation industryComprehensive knowledge of airport operations and safety regulationsGood understanding of ICAO standards and recommended practices (SARPS)Knowledge of CAA regulationsProficient communication skills in English (both verbal and written)#J-18808-Ljbffr
