Job title: Head of ConstructionAssignment type: ContractContract duration: 36 months (with possibility to extend)Work location: Qatar OnshoreWork schedule: 6 days per week, 10 hours per dayAccountabilitiesProvide front line safety and technical leadership, ensuring safe, effective, and efficient execution of construction activities in accordance with the project schedule and compliance with quality and technical standards.Provide coordination and direction for all company functions within an assigned construction division and geographical area, interacting with the EPC contractor's construction management team to ensure construction schedule compliance and a flawless transition to pre-commissioning and commissioning phases.Support the Construction Division Manager during the recruitment of company construction resources and approval of contractor safety-critical positions, providing regular performance review and feedback to support company employee development.Delegate Authority for the Construction Division Manager.Support and participate in constructability and construction readiness reviews, identifying improvement opportunities with the contractor team.Drive schedule compliance, assuring Contractor delivery in line with the path of construction, L3/4 schedule, and project milestones.Analyze construction progress and productivity reports, identifying contractor improvements across direct and indirect activities.Ensure Contractor controls change in accordance with project procedures, identifying schedule and contractual impact.Support the Advanced Work Packing process and system compliance, identifying and resolving constraints to support schedule delivery.Coordinate closure of technical queries and non-conformance actions.Lead construction completions compliance (punch closure to MC) to CSU, providing coordination and managing discipline interfaces.Scope of discipline: Civil / Structural / Mechanical / Piping / Electrical / Instruments & Controls.SkillsAbility to read and translate approved for construction drawings.Ability to use Navis works (3D model).Ability to work within document control systems, reviewing, consolidating, and approving technical and project documents.IT literacy: Word, Excel, PDF, skills to support reporting, reviewing, and communication requirements.Ability to read and translate primavera schedules.Ability to work within advanced work packing and completions systems.QualificationsBachelor's of Science or Engineering in relevant discipline, recognized industry trade qualifications, and supervisory training.More than 15 years proven experience in Project Execution EPC and Client organization, with a strong background in fabrication, construction, installation, hook-up, and completions to mechanical completion.Management and supervisory experience working within large greenfield Oil & Gas, LNG projects.Proven experience with construction planning, specifications, and procedures.Demonstrates sound written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at all organizational levels, particularly when at Site.Experience with major and first-tier EPC Contractors, Sub-contractors, and Vendors involved in the oil and gas industry.#J-18808-Ljbffr
