About the roleYou will be responsible to ensure that all applicable continuing airworthiness requirements (with regards to QCAA approved CAMO) are reviewed and implemented. Review reliability alerts related to aircraft systems, components or aircraft dispatch and analyse, identify solutions and propose implementation plans to maintain optimum level of reliability and cost levels. Assist Maintenance section and other internal and external customers in resolving technical queries, and repetitive defects. Initiating and processing deviations to certified aircraft configuration or approved maintenance data.Some of the tasks include:§Evaluate Airworthiness and other Service Documentation (AD/CN/SB/SIL/OIT/AOT/VSB/TFU/FTD) issued by airworthiness authorities, aircraft manufacturers or vendors and take necessary actions in a timely manner (e.g. issue EO, ESWC, CMA, TN, recommend amendments to technical publications, Aircraft Maintenance Program).§Evaluate technical and commercial proposals, retrofit Modification Orders and Corporate Engineering Change requests and make recommendations.§Evaluate, analyse and find or create solutions to problems related to components and systems that exceed alert levels in Reliability Reports, Issue necessary technical documentation and co-ordinate with various in-house departments, vendors and manufacturers as needed to define or implement solutions.§Perform technical investigations into TORs/MORs/ASRs recommend/implement corrective and preventative measures as required.§Communicate with manufacturer’s vendors and internal departments/sections on technical and project issues as required from time to time and assist Aircraft Program Section in technical matters.§Prepare product specification and assist commercial department in preparing Request for Information, Request for Proposal and purchase agreement documents for selection of a new components and systems or upgrade of such systems.§Review engineering data and drawings for accuracy before embodiment.§Evaluate technical specifications of new and used aircraft and equipment for possible induction; define the layout and specification to satisfy Qatar airways and regulatory requirements. Eng., BSc in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics of Aeronautical Engineering) or Equivalent OR Holder of ICAO Type II License.·External: 6 years job related experience of airworthiness/reliability/technical support engineer role in a continuing airworthiness maintenance organization of a reputed airline. ·Internal: Completed minimum 2 years in EN.01 with related experience.·Good knowledge of aircraft powerplants (engines & APU)·Experience in usage of Airman, Airbus World, My Boeing Fleet, Airplane Health Management, Maintenance Performance Toolbox, OEM System Monitoring tools and/or equivalent systems for various power plant and equipment manufacturers will be an advantage.·Experience in using Airbus Technical Request and Boeing Service Request applications.·Good working knowledge of Company policies, procedures, scope of capability and limitations·Familiar with service bulletin, evaluation and associated engineering documents·MS office and other soft skills including the MIS and other applications used by the Technical Department.·Fluency in written and spoken English About Qatar Airways Group Our story started with four aircraft.
