The Regulatory Framework Team Lead is responsible to the Quality Assurance and Regulatory Framework Manager (QARFM) for assuring operational compliance against the requirements of the governance framework. The role provides a key interface with the relevant management to ensure that all organisations qualify for the issue and continuation of the regulatory approval.The Post Holder should have strong quantitative, analytical and project management skills/experience, and be an effective, credible communicator with good interpersonal skills. They will require product knowledge and a good understanding of the relationship with interfacing/contributory areas and be able to analyse and interpret data with a high level of attention to detail.Core ActivityActing as the principal point of contact with BAES, QAF and regulatory authorities for all compliance issues relevant to the regulation Deputising for the QARFM for all Regulatory aspects during periods of prolonged absenceProviding advice to the QARFM on issues impacting QAF regulatory approvalsProviding strategic and tactical advice to the organisation for compliance to the regulation and ensure this is embedded into any organisation policies and procedures as appropriateAssisting the QARFM in Managing the expositions and associated procedures to ensure compliance, consistency and integration with all other Regulation Expositions.Providing advice to ensure that the application of human factors, error management, risk management and safety assurance are appropriately managed by the organisationsSupporting the engagement with regulatory bodies, authorities in order to ensure that appropriate representation is made with regard to proposed legislative, regulatory and requirement changesAdvising the QARFM on appropriate regulatory requirement for inclusion in contractsKey AccountabilitiesPerformance indicators – Ensure the effective leadership of all regulatory activities and delivery targets, monitoring progress and developing performance improvement programmes. Responsible for: the assessment of escalated issues for impact on continuing airworthiness and generating effective resolution, or sponsoring escalation to senior management, as appropriate.Completion of activities – Ensure all regulatory activities are appropriately documented and the appropriate airworthiness records are maintained on relevant systems (IT/paper based). Ensure all regulatory activities are performed by suitably qualified, experienced and authorised personnel. Lead the integration of regulatory activity within the business and in particular the engagement of key stakeholders at all stages of the process.Procedure/standards – Support the QARFM in Leading regulatory compliance with the relevant Part M/145/147 exposition(s), its associated procedures and standards, and any other company procedures and standardsSafety Management System – Support the QARFM in leading the application of human factors, error management, risk management and safety assurance within the regulatory environment, together with the proactive analysis, mitigation and management of hazardsManagement System Assurance – Ensure all regulatory activities are compliant with the governance and assurance framework. Ensure process confirmations and independent assurance audits are supported by regulatory personnel. Manage audit findings in a timely and appropriate manner and provide information into the relevant reviews. Generate, deliver and implement effective improvements to overcome any non-compliance and monitor effectivenessStatutory / Regulatory & Legislative requirements – Able to demonstrate a detailed understanding and application of the relevant continuing airworthiness regulatory framework, and ensure any regulatory-driven changes are implemented. lead regulatory compliance with all other requirements, e.g. ITAR, EaPW, ISOContractual Requirements – Lead compliance with all applicable contractual requirements, e.g. through support to contract reviews, and ensure communication and implementation of any changes into regulatory activitiesRequirementsHND in a relevant discipline, or suitable equivalent High level of regulatory framework understanding and the ability to drive this framework structure into the relevant Part M/145/147 processes and activitiesKnowledge of appropriate regulatory requirements (including those developing)Able to build strong relationships with customers and other key stakeholders.Demonstrate a thorough operational and commercial understanding of regulatory activities Able to design, implement and foster a continuous improvement culture, underpinned by appropriate management reporting systemsBroad understanding of Product safety, and experience of a customer facing role in an operational environment.Human Factors- Standard Course SpecificationE&PW Awareness- Standard Course SpecificationITAR Awareness- Standard Course SpecificationIT Literate#J-18808-Ljbffr
